Subir Sarker
I am Dr Subir Sarker and completed a PhD focused on molecular virology and structural biology at Charles Sturt University (CSU), Australia. The main research and teaching themes for my academic platform includes structural biology, cell biology, veterinary microbiology, diagnostic microbiology and pathobiology, where I made most significant contribution over the last 9 years of professional tenure (combined teaching, PhD and postdoctoral research). I have conducted research spanning several study systems including avian, crocodile, large and laboratory animals. I have done research in institutions spanning 3 countries and trained Honours, MS and PhD students.
Following directly from my PhD award in 2015 (December 16th) at Charles Sturt University, Australia, I started my postdoctoral research at the same university under the support of an internationally competitive and highly prestigious Endeavour Research Fellow. I also worked as a full time Lecturer in veterinary pathology under the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh since 2010. I managed teaching, mentoring, and assessing undergraduate students, supervising DVM internship students, until I left to undertake doctoral studies at Charles Sturt University. Currently I am working as a postdoctoral researcher under the support of an internationally competitive and highly prestigious research fellowship scheme supported by La Trobe University to develop the animal-based research program within the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Microbiology.
